Very, very quiet. Seems to be effective. At the very least, it solved the problem of my overheating CPU, caused by one of the defective fans. Could use protection for extraneous objects in BOTH sides, not one side only. A tad bulky. If your vent is on to the sides, keep in mind that it can be placed on the center of the base of the laptop, not on the sides, unless you colapse the stands, in which case it will cause your laptop to wobble. Other than that, it's Plug-n-Play. And what's with that loathable pink color?!?!?
